Kirby is a 6.5-year-old super fun, energetic, people-loving French bulldog. We adopted her when she was about 10 weeks old, and met her at the SFO special baggage handling building, where pets shipped via commercial flights were picked up. We were surprised to see her crate was empty when we arrived, but our panic quickly subsided when we saw a group of airport employees huddled around a small, adorable, white Frenchie puppy who became our beloved Kirby.
Likes: Kirby REALLY likes people and loves to greet them by licking their face and ears, going to the dog park and playing with other dogs (but would much rather meet their owner!), and showing off her favorite toys! She is not a big fan of playing catch, but loves it when you chase her when she has a toy! She also prefers the big dog park as she is convinced she is a big dog.
Dislikes: Being cold, the rain, being outside at night, and being small (Kirby considers herself a big dog despite her size). She also doesn’t like seeing other critters on TV, as she is convinced that every animal on TV – no matter the species – is coming to get her and her prized possessions so she must bark to scare them away! Unlike the show we are watching, Kirby doesn’t take a break when commercials come on and remains attentive in case a furry creature pops up on the screen.
