Question of the Week: Why do our veterinary technicians love what they do?

National Veterinary Technician Week
may only be one week, but we here at Campus Veterinary can hardly put into words just how invaluable our vet techs are to the clinic year-round.  Our vet techs are nothing less than superheroes!

Their hard-work and dedication to the veterinary field is astounding, so we asked them why they love being a vet tech!  Check out their answers:

Rachel has been at Campus Veterinary since August 2012.

Rachel Brownell

“Deep passion and love for animals. The feeling of doing something important and good with my life, and the constant increase of my knowledge in the medical field.”

Kim has worked at CVC for a year and a half.

Kim Cripe

“I love meeting new cool cats and dogs everyday—and helping to make their vet visit as fun and stress-free as possible. At the end of the day,
I love feeling like I’ve made a difference in their lives.”

Chris has been with CVC for one year.

Chris DeCarlo

“I love having variety in my job. A vet tech is an animal nurse, surgical assistant, dental hygienist, radiologist, and more. I love that there are so many skills that I have the oppotunity to hone and master. But if there is one thing I love most about being a vet tech, it’s the rewarding feeling of accomplishment I get from being a part of saving an animal’s life.”

Holly has worked with CVC for two years.

Holly Ross

“The thrill of the medical field, mixed with my life-long love for animals makes this job awesome—I was born for this!”

S.J. has been with CVC for five years.

S.J. Miller

“I just love helping the ‘boo-boos’ feel better.  It makes me feel good to make our four-legged friends feel their best!”

Thank you all—S.J., Holly, Chris, Kim and Rachel, and vet techs everywhere!—for everything you do!

5 stars I have frequented Campus Veterinary Clinic for a little over four years now. I have only positive things to say about them. The reception staff are attentive, warm, and efficient. The nurses are kind and do everything they can to make your beloved pet comfortable. The doctors are knowledgeable, comprehensive with their examination, and always communicate well with you. They avoid over prescribing medication as well. My cat once had surgery here and she was very well taken care of, and they proactively followed up on her recovery. A+.
